My trial-by-fire as a leader began when I took over a troubled program overnight—while eight months pregnant, and just months after building out a non-profit’s compliance division solo. That experience taught me what works in the real world: bulletproof infrastructure that satisfies county audits, protects revenue, AND treats clinicians like human beings.
